Friday Favorites // 10.20.17

Happy Friday, y'all!! Today I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to share some of my Friday Favorites!

First up this week is this book I listened to last week. I listen to a lot of audio books while I am on the road and sometimes while I am working if I'm not working on something I have to focus on.

P.S. From Paris.

It was a super cute book and I think you should check it out!

Last weekend, I spent the day with my Nana and we had so much fun! We had lunch, did a little shopping, and got ice cream at the famous Trowbridges in Downtown Florence!

Before we went home we stopped by and put some balloons and flowers on my aunt's grave for her Birthday. This was her first birthday celebration in Heaven and I can't imagine the fun she had.
If you have your grandparents here with you, I encourage you to take some time up with them or even just call them on the phone to chat. You don't know how much that would make their day.

I introduced Gypsy Pearl on the blog yesterday... have you gotten to know her yet? You can meet her HERE. She also has an Instagram account, but has a crazy manager who forgets to post her pictures there! You can follow her for important GP updates (@gypsypearlthecockapoo).

Last Friday was my girl's night and I met up with some friends from college at one of our favorite restaurants in Downtown Florence, City Hardware.

I had this ammmmmmmmmazing Sushi (Shrimp Hardware Roll)

We shared the skillet cookie! Soooo YUMM!

I love a good gift with purchase and this adorable makeup bag is available with the purchase of Rodan + Fields newest products that launched on Wednesday.

Our Intensive Renewing Serum and the Amp MD Roller 2.0 are AMAZING. These products will minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and restore the firmness and elasticity in your skin. It only takes 1 minute at bedtime!

Also, I am offering an additional gift with a new bundle purchase for New or Current Preferred Customers through midnight tonight (10/20/2017) Message me today to get started or check out my site here!

Last but not least, we have some exciting projects in the works over in our neck of the woods. I can't wait to share more about them. Think major before and after situations, crazy transformations... we may just have to take this over to a vlog to get the full experience. Anyways, I am SO STINKIN' EXCITED and can't wait to share with you all!! Stay tuned for more.. I will share sneak peeks as I can over on my IG and IG stories. Ekkkk!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and enjoy this beautiful Fall weather we've had around here!

XOXO,
T

Meet Gypsy

GYPSY PEARL

As many of you know, Gypsy is my little BFF, so without knowing Gypsy... you don't really know Tamra. I had wanted a puppy for a very long time. I pinned puppies on Pinterest, I looked up breeders up on Facebook and Google, etc., etc. I wanted a miniature Goldendoodle and Jonathan kind of wanted another Cocker Spaniel. Then one of my friends started posting pictures of her new Cockapoo on Instagram and I about LOST it! It was the perfect mix for us! I asked her questions, I researched my self and then I found "Peaches #5" who would be ready to leave her pack the next weekend. I contacted the breeder and just knew it was so meant to be!!!

Gypsy Pearl was born on March 1, 2015, and was ready to come home in May. So the weekend after I finished up my Master's degree classes, my mother-in-law and I loaded up and drove 3 hours to meet the breeder with our new baby! I was in love from the second Gypsy Pearl was placed into my arms.

As soon as Gypsy arrived in Alabama, she started stealing hearts left and right. We had a wonderful first weekend of Gypsy meeting her new family, her new vet, napping, and playing. At her first vet visit, she was 8 weeks old and weighed a whopping 3.4 pounds.

Look at those curls! Ah. I wish she still had these little baby curls and ears.

Gypsy Pearl LOVES Toys and Treats. Like if you see Gypsy, she either has a toy in her mouth, beside her, under her if she is napping, or she is tossing it at you trying to get you to throw it so she can go catch it. Give her ALL. THE. TOYS.
Here are a few pictures to get to know her and to show you just how spoiled rotten she is.

Second Birthday Party 2017

GP loves to ride the boat and jet ski!

So now you know my 12.5-pound sidekick! I hope you enjoyed getting to know my Gypsy Pearl girl. You will definitely be seeing her around and I may even have to go back and blog her birthday parties... because who doesn't love a great party?!

If you made it through all of the pictures and you want more... follow Gypsy on Instagram HERE.

Roll Tide Chili

Well, it's that time of the year folks.
Fall + Football = All. The. Heart. Eyes.

This past weekend I made my favorite..
Roll Tide Chili

I had so many friends asked for my recipe. I thought it would be easier to post once here instead of emailing it all over the place.
Here's what you will need:
  • 1.5 lb. Ground Beef (I usually use Ground Chuck)
  • 1 (15 oz.) can of Bushes Light Red Kidney Beans, Drained and Rinsed
  • 1 (15 oz.) can of Bushes Dark Red Kidney Beans, Drained and Rinsed
  • 1 (6 oz.) can of Hunt's Tomato Paste
  • 1 packet of McCormick's Mild Chili Mix
  • 1 Tablespoon Coconut Oil
  • 12 oz. Mushrooms (Sliced)
  • Water
  • Salt/Pepper
  • Additional Spices for Taste: Chili Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Paprika, Cayenne Pepper (All Optional)

Step 1. Brown Ground Beef until thoroughly cooked, and drain grease off. Add enough water to cover the bottom of your pan and set heat to medium.

Step 2. Add Coconut Oil to a non-stick skillet, let the oil heat up a bit and then add in the sliced mushrooms. Cook these until tender, set aside.

Step 3. Add Chili Mix, Tomato Paste, and beans to ground beef. Stir and add water until desired consistency.

Step 4. Throw in the cooked mushrooms. Stir.

Step 5. Add a dash or two of the Chili Powder, Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, Paprika, Salt, Black Pepper and/or Cayenne Pepper if you wish.

Serve up with shredded cheese, sour cream, crackers or beer bread and you will have everyone yelling Roll Tide, y'all! 😉

Enjoy!
XOXO,
T

Friday Favorites // 10.13.17

It's time for Friday Favorites again, y'all! Today is Friday the 13th! YIKES!!!
I am linking up with Erika, Narci, and Andrea to share some of my Friday Favorites!

First off, one of my not so favorites this week... our internet provider! I do live out in the country, but every time it rains our Wi-Fi goes nuts. That is so aggravating!! So, unfortunately, this week has been hit and miss with the blog. I am currently waiting on the repair man, so hopefully he will get us fixed up!
Ok, now on to my real favorites!

First up is this awesome notepad from Jack & Ella Paper. Super cute designs and nice thick paper. This was my list for Monday and I almost got it all done... but one thing is for sure, I killed it. 💖

Most of you may be familiar with the Aviate brand... but this one is a super special edition. You know last week I talked about how you could add the Kruzn' for a Kure foundation to your Amazon account and your purchases help raise money for the charity. Well, the foundation got with Aviate and came out with these awesome hats and I am so excited that mine came in this week! I love to throw on a hat while running errands (and to cover up dirty hair once in a while!) and what could be better than helping this family raise a little awareness while running errands? You can get your special edition Kruzn' for a Kure hat HERE!

Who likes to organize?! I've always loved to organize but life got crazy there for a little while and I completely let the organized part of my life go. I'm finally getting back to it and organizing our house to be functional for us.

If you don't follow The Home Edit on Instagram.. you should. They have such an awesome method and it is so appealing to the eyes while still being functional. I borrowed this little idea from them. You can find these document boxes here. They have tons of colors, so if you don't like solid white you are covered! Label them with a gold Sharpie... and you are GOLDEN!

That's about it for today! I am excited because tonight is Girl's Night and I get to meet up with my besties that I haven't seen in a while! Hope you all have a fabulous weekend! See you next week!

XOXO,
T

Workin' It Wednesday

Today I am linking up with Shay & Erika for Workin' It Wednesday!
Today's topic is Making Your Home Cozy!

Fall and the Holiday season is when I feel like my house feels the coziest! (I can't wait to get that Christmas tree up!!!) But I do love a good cozy porch in the Spring and Summer as well! This is the screened in section of the back porch and I love it out there! Sitting in there while the rain comes down reading a good book is one of my favorites!

The under cabinet lighting in the kitchen is one of my favorites! If I am home and the sun is not out (we have a lot of natural light in our kitchen)... these lights are on. I just don't think you can get cozier than that!

When I was in college, I remember someone telling me they used lamps instead of overhead lights and that stuck with me. I wake up and turn lamps on, and my husband comes behind me and turns them off... but I usually win in the end!
Also... I think a good lush rug makes any room feel warmer and cozier!
I LOVE candles! I feel like lit candles are so cozy and welcoming to guests. I do have some family members that are sensitive to candle scents so I use the flameless candles a lot as well! (I think I have a candle on just about every table, counter, or space in my home. Love them!) Bath & Body Works candles are just about my favorite!

What could be more cozy than a basket full of cozy blankets and throws? I have a few on my couches, but also this big basket in case anyone needs a spare!

I also think having a warm drink to curl up on the couch with is just cozy. I set up this little coffee and hot tea station for a little get together and never took it down because I love it so much!

Lamps.. Check.
Candles.. Check.
Blankets.. Check.
Coffee.. Check.
Cozy Factor... Check. Check. Check.

I loved sharing my cozy ideas with you... what are some things that you do to make your house more cozy? I can't wait to hear!
XOXO,
T
